Guess who scored her third goal ever last Saturday, and then almost another one in the same period until the goalie shoved it back out before the refs came over and Jess almost jumped on her and beat the point out of her? Ok, I couldn’t ever really be mean to a goalie. There’s just something so unassuming and insane about them. I have a lot of respect.
I wonder, randomly, if telling yourself that you’re not good enough constantly is a subconscious way of being your own disapproving mother so that you can beat yourself up, and win, and then in the end say “I told you so” and thus prove yourself wrong.
